Effects of different exercise training regimens compared to endurance training on visceral fat dynamic and resting energy expenditure in obese patients (Prof. Dr. Matthias Blüher, completed)

The study examines which training regimes are most likely to reduce visceral fat in humans. This fat tissue is suspected to increase the risk for metabolic diseases more than fat tissue at other parts of the human body.

This research project has been approved by the Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Medicine of the Universität Leipzig (number 284-10-104102010). This project is recorded in the ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT01435057).
